When i read this poem, Did I Miss Anything? Right away I thought of our class discussion that we had in class. Professor Marsh was telling us how the big classroom rule is to not ask "Did I Miss Anything?"
I honestly think "Did I Miss Anything?" By Tom Wayman is a great poem. I got this poem from my speech teacher. Professor Rusicca handed this poem out to the class the first day of the Spring semester. I think that all the teachers should read this poem to the class.
I like how Tom Wayman used the words "Nothing" and "Everything" in his stanzas alternatively. I also like when Tom is telling the students how they missed absolutely nothing and they sat there with their hands folded for two full hours. Ha! I wish class was like that! And then he saids how the student missed an exam that is worth forty percent of the final grade. Ha! it stinks to know you missed a test or a pop up quiz.
I definitely recommend this poem to teachers and students. It gives a good vibe of what happens when you are absent for just one day. I was never absent last semester. I am known for always going to my classes, even in High School. I think it is a big percentages of my grade and good for the teacher to know that I care to come to class.
